Sant La launched its operations in June 2001 with start up grants from the Kennedy Foundation, The Knight-Leigh Foundation, The Fisher Philanthropic Fund, the North Dade Medical Foundation and the Roblee Foundation.
To date, we have received support from:
- The Dade Community Foundation
- Miami-Dade County Department of Human Service
- The United Way
- The Alliance for Human Services
- Coral Gables Congressional Church
- The Department of Children and Families
- The Juvenile Assessment Center
The organization's 2002 - 2003 budget is in excess of $600,000, which is complemented by the services funded by partner agencies.
To date our partner agencies include:
- The Department of Children and Families (DCF)
- The Department of Human Services
- Children Psychiatric Services (OPS)
- The Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ)
Sant La has a diverse 40-member board representing community leaders as well as representatives of social service agencies that primarily server the Central, North and South Dade Haitian Communities.
