Reginald Policard Concert, March 5, 2011
Reginald Policard and his ten piece band, performed live, at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, as part of a year-long series of events to commemorate Sant La's 10 years of empowering, strengthening and stabilizing South Florida's Haitian community.
Mr. Policard put on a fantastic show entertaining guests with approximately two hours soulful music to the delight of his fans.
The Sant La family thanks all those that supported us and joined us us for our third jazz event. This was a fantastic evening of good music and great friend, and we look forward to sharing even more wonderful memories over the coming year. A very special thanks goes out to Reginald Policard and his band for such a memorable and personal performance.
Sant La’s 2010 Annual Event, Thursday, May 13th, 2010
Our "Night of Hope & Inspiration" was held at the beautiful Little Haiti Cultural Center. Sant La was honored to have Calvin Hughes (WPLG 10) as MC, and the inspired singing of two national anthems and "Ave Maria" by Yoni Marcel. Our two honorees were The Miami Herald and CNN/AC360° for their ongoing commitment to the Haiti Earthquake story -- awards accepted by Editorial Page Editor Myriam Marquez with several Herald correspondents and by Anderson Cooper via video relay. Last, but certainly not least, renown pianist Reginald Policard and his ensemble treated us to musical food for the soul.
