Join us as we launch a year of activities that reflect the contributions Haitian have made to the community.

On December 12, 1972, 65 Haitian nationals, surviving a perilous passage, landed on South Florida’ shores in a small wooden boat. They were escaping a dictatorship, violence and hopelessness. On that day, all Haitians became “Boat People!"

In these last 50 years, we have seen the Haitian American community flourish and grow with many groundbreaking accomplishments. Please join us on December 12, 2022, to commemorate 50 years of triumph over the greatest odds in South Florida.
