Sant La Fellows is a year-long leadership program for young professionals of Haitian descent. The goal is to identify, prepare, and support the next generation of civic, academic, business and political leaders in the Haitian-American community. The program includes discussion labs which will be a safe space to question, challenge and delve into uncomfortable issues; mentorship and coaching opportunities with public and private sector leaders; a capstone project that benefits the community; and a heritage trip.
The program’s principles stand on the belief that the Haitian community’s upward trajectory will continue only if the community itself takes on the responsibility of developing the next generation of culturally and linguistically competent leaders who were raised in and by the community.
Participants must be 21 to 35 years of age, with a minimum 2-year college degree. The application window is open.
For more information on the program, including opportunities to be a speaker and/ or mentor please email lhermantin@santla.org.
