Emmanuella Carriere

Emmanuella has been in the finance industry for the past 8 years. She is currently part of a retail bank management team. Her goal is to go back and pursue her dream of becoming a corporate lawyer. 

She’s an advocate of being unapologetically yourself and promoting confidence. Her passion is style and creativity in every aspect , events, fashion director, content creator. She is an experience curator. She loves traveling and planning travel itineraries as a passive income. 

She is your friend that does it all and never afraid of a challenge and always to take initiatives.


 

Judelande Jeune

My name is Judelande Jeune, and I migrated from Haiti to the United States at nine years old. My family's decision to seek refuge in the U.S. was driven by my father’s involvement in politics and his opposition to the Aristide regime, an experience that ignited my passion for government and politics.

I am a legal professional, holding a Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law. During my tenure, I served as a member of the Stafford Inn of Court and achieved the title of National Champion of the Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition. I had the pleasure of serving as the Vice-President of the Black Law Students Association and as secretary for the FSU Mock Trial.

Currently, I serve as an Associate Attorney at Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman, advising municipalities on government matters and drafting ordinances and contracts. I am involved in the legal community as a member of the Haitian Lawyers Association Judicial Diversity Initiative and the Florida League of Cities policy committees. My journey thus far has instilled in me a deep commitment to public service, and I am dedicated to using my experiences to make a positive impact on my community.


 

Laura Levros

Laura Levros is a technology consultant whose experience expands across the hospitality, real estate and legal industries. Levros was born to Haitian-Bahamian parents and raised in Miami, FL. She often volunteers her time and donates resources as part of her commitment to give back to the underserved communities that raised her. Levros is passionate about children and aspires to one day become a foster parent and start a non-profit catering to this specific community. Levros is also the founder of Mecca of Love and co-founder of Miami Tech Crawl.


 

Regine Louis

Regine is a Haitian American from South Florida. She received her dual degree in Psychology (B.S.) and Women's Studies (B.A.) from the University of Florida. She later worked as a research analyst examining issues facing the Latino and Black American communities in South Florida and providing solutions that would maximize their overall well-being. It was during her work as a research analyst in South Florida where she became particularly interested in identifying and serving the needs of Haitians in South Florida. 

Currently, she is pursuing an MS in Data Science. Outside of her academic studies, Ms. Louis volunteers at Ayiti Demen, where she provides technical support and contextualizes data to gain insights about Haiti for the non-profit. She also enjoys hiking and discussing the latest book she has read.


 

Jennyca Petit

I am Jennyca Petit, a dedicated professional with over 5 years of experience. My educational journey includes a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Complementing this, I have an associate degree in Secretarial Science and a Certificate in Community Leadership, underlining my commitment to personal and community growth.

Throughout my career, I have showcased strong leadership skills. As an Administrative Assistant at Capital Bank, I supervised support staff, ensuring smooth office operations. My role at Tearfund involved effective collaboration with support staff, and my leadership extended to leading weekly meetings, where I guided discussions and facilitated collaboration among team members.

Beyond my professional journey, I have passionately served in my church as a Teacher of Sunday School for teenagers, emphasizing my commitment to nurturing and guiding the youth. I also participated with my school in visits to a local orphanage and hospital when I was in Cap-Haitian, providing support and compassion to those in need within our community.

In addition to these experiences, I donated resources during the earthquake that struck South Haiti in August 2021. These endeavors have taught me the profound impact of community engagement and the importance of extending a helping hand when our community faces adversity.


 

Déborah Saint Vil

Michaèl’s Déborah Saint-Vil, from Brooklyn and raised in Haiti, moved to California in the 2000s. She serves as the Immigration Services Manager at Miami-Dade County's Office of New American Division, aiding immigrant integration. As a Supervising Attorney at Catholic Legal Service, Déborah's dedication extends to educating underprivileged immigrants about their rights across the U.S.

While at law school, Déborah advised at the United Nations for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, focusing on maritime law. She also distinguished herself as an International Moot Court competitor and contributed to the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review. Post-law school, she ardently volunteered for victims, refugees, and asylum seekers.

An alumna of Oakwood University, and Saint Thomas University School of Law, Déborah's commitment to community service is unwavering. Her experience ranges from volunteering with different local volunteer associations; taking on leadership roles within those organizations; taking the lead and initiating project that benefits vulnerable populations around the United States, and mentoring youth in elementary through law school.

Déborah is very passionate about her work for the betterment of the community. Beyond her extensive legal efforts, Déborah’s pride and joy is her daughter. When not working, she cherishes traveling, cooking, event planning, and spending time with loved ones.


 

Nazario Saint Louis

Nazario Saint Louis is originally from Saint-Marc, Haiti, having migrated to the United States at age 11. He is currently pursuing his JD at Florida International University College of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, where he graduated with honors including the Georgetown Scholars Program, Congressional Black Caucus Scholarship, and Dean’s List. Nazario concentrated in International Law, Institutions, and Ethics and complemented his undergraduate education as a Public and International Affairs Junior Summer Institute Fellow at Princeton University’s Graduate School. His professional roles have encompassed legal, policy, and government fields, including serving as a Land Use Paralegal with Greenberg Traurig and Regional Voter Engagement Coordinator for Engage Miami. Additionally, Nazario brings hands-on government experience from the U.S. Congress via an internship with Congresswoman Frederica Wilson’s office and through lobbying experience with Floridian Partners. Demonstrating dedication to inclusion, Nazario has helped empower disadvantaged groups by mentoring first-generation, low-income students with 5000 Role Models, and leading constitutional revisions with Miami Dade College’s Student Government Association. Through these profoundly diverse academic, professional, government, and community experiences, Nazario has developed exceptional critical thinking, analytical, writing, and research skills.


 

JP Vertil

Jean-Pierre Vertil, a Haitian-born entrepreneur and tech enthusiast, embarked on his academic journey at the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Electrical Engineering and Economics. His passion for community upliftment led him to spearhead two NGOs during his time there: PUSH and Education Haiti. These organizations have since made significant strides in supporting Haitian graduates' acceptance into elite US institutions and securing work placements. Jean-Pierre's professional trajectory began with an internship at Sigora Haiti, where he developed a transformative mobile app to streamline meter inspections. His prowess in the tech realm was further solidified when he became the first software engineer at Sigora Solar, eventually building and leading a team of software engineers. After completing his MBA from Stanford Business School, Jean-Pierre co-founded Gaya, a startup with a vision to revolutionize the insurance sector using AI tools. Throughout his career, Jean-Pierre has consistently merged technology with social impact, advocating for education, employment, and empowerment within the Haitian community.
