KidCare

Florida KidCare is our state’s children’s health insurance program for uninsured children under age 19. It is made up of four parts: MediKids, Healthy Kids, the Children’s Medical Services (CMS) Network for children with special health care needs and Medicaid for children.

Kristi House Child Advocacy Center

Kristi House provides treatment, advocacy, and coordination of services, within a healing environment, for all child victims of sexual abuse and their families, as well as education and prevention services to end child sexual abuse.

Medicaid

Medicaid is the state and federal partnership that provides health coverage for selected categories of people with low incomes. Its purpose is to improve the health of people who might otherwise go without medical care for themselves and their children.

Medicare

Medicare is the government health insurance program for people over age 65 and for those who are on Social Security disability.

National Alliance on Mental Illness

NAMI advocates for effective prevention, diagnosis, treatment, support, research and recovery that improves the quality of life of persons of all ages who are affected by mental illness.

Social Security Administration

A federal agency that provides retirement, disability and survivor benefits.  Social Security administers the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Program, which can make monthly payments to people with low income and limited resources who are age 65 or older, blind or disabled.  SSI also provides benefits to children with disabilities.  You can save time by applying online for benefits.
